Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Grok 4.7 reached Bedrock on 28 September, GPT-6.1 Sol a day later. Vendor prices, and what's still unconfirmed on Bedrock itself.
AWS announced Claude Sonnet 5.5 and Grok 4.7 on Amazon Bedrock on 28 September, six days after GPT-6 Sol, GPT-6 Luna and Claude Opus 5.5 reached Bedrock. GPT-6.1 Sol followed on 29 September, in GitHub Copilot and on Vercel's AI Gateway. Bedrock's own model catalogue and pricing page now list all three.
The AWS announcements don't give prices. The vendors' own pages do.
Claude Sonnet 5.5 costs $2.00 per million input tokens and $10.00 per million output tokens on Anthropic's pricing page. Cache writes are $2.50, cache reads are $0.20. Claude Opus 5.5 costs four times as much: $4.00 and $20.00.
Grok 4.7 costs $2.00 per million input tokens and $6.00 per million output tokens on xAI's pricing page. Its context window is 500,000 tokens, about half the size of the GPT-6 family's or Claude 5.5's.
GPT-6.1 Sol costs $2.00 and $10.00 on OpenAI's standard short-context tier. That's the same price as GPT-6 Sol. Vercel's changelog says GPT-6.1 Sol is cheaper, and it is, but only compared with GPT-6 Astra ($10.00 and $50.00). OpenAI's own model page is clear about this: GPT-6.1 Sol gives "near-Astra performance... at a lower cost," and the comparison it means is to Astra, not to Sol.
These are vendor list prices, not Bedrock's rates. Bedrock's pricing page builds its numbers with a script, so the page's plain text doesn't show what Bedrock actually charges. Check the Bedrock rate card directly before you budget against any of the prices above.
The credits point from 24 September still holds. Activate credits cover third-party models on Bedrock, and AWS names OpenAI and Anthropic among the providers on its Activate credits page. Credits apply automatically to eligible charges; you don't choose where they go. xAI isn't named on that page, so if you plan to run Grok traffic on Bedrock, confirm with AWS that Activate credits cover it. Our guide to AI model credits covers which credits pay for which models generally.
Three model launches on Bedrock in one week is faster than anything this site has tracked before. If that keeps up, check Bedrock's own catalogue before you assume a vendor's list price is what your credits will actually pay.
