Mistral AI and Figma: worth claiming even off the headline list
€30,000 in API credits with no investor required, and one of the only design-tooling discounts that exists pre-seed. Different gates, both worth the form.
Not every program worth claiming is a six-figure cloud tier. Mistral AI and Figma sit at opposite ends of the database, in size and in how you get in, and both are easy to skip past while you're chasing the bigger names.
Mistral: it's actually self-serve
Mistralship gives up to €30,000 in La Plateforme API credits, plus one-to-one support from Mistral's own Solutions and Science teams. It's self-serve: no investor intro, no partner catalog, just a direct application that goes through selective review.
That's rarer than the amount itself. Most of the other real API-credit programs in the database are partner-gated, and OpenAI doesn't even run a self-serve option. If any part of your stack can run on open-weight European models, apply directly. Review is selective, but funding stage isn't a precondition here the way it is almost everywhere else on this list.
Figma: small, but there's almost nothing else for design
Figma for Startups tops out at $1,000, the smallest figure in this pair by a lot, for discounted or free access to Figma's professional tooling. Most people get it through a partner perk list, the same pattern as Deel, Carta and Airtable, not a standalone application.
A $1,000 credit is still worth chasing because almost nobody discounts design tooling for a pre-seed team. Before you pay list price for your whole team's seats, check whatever partner bundle you already hold, an accelerator's perk page, a bank's startup catalog, for Figma sitting inside it.
Two different moves
Apply to Mistral yourself, on your own schedule, if your stack has any use for open-weight models. There's no partner relationship to build first. For Figma, check your existing bundles before filing anything new. It's more likely to already be sitting in one than worth a cold application.
Both figures here are reported rather than officially verified in the database, compiled from public reporting rather than read straight off each provider's own page. Confirm the current terms before you plan around either number.
